They are easy to install. You just insert the card in your Windows PC, connect the cameras up using the cable kits provided and load the GeoVision software from the CD. For control and monitoring via the internet you should ideally have ADSL Broadband but you can get by with a normal 56k modem or ISDN connection.

Geovision Vehicle Licence Plate Recognition System
The GeoVision LPR (Licence Plate Recognition) system uses Neural Networks technology, a special artificial intelligence system to identify vehicles by their licence plates. The LPR system integrates with various I/O devices, such as access-control systems, and uses CCTV cameras to capture images of the plate. For example, when a vehicle approaches a gate, the LPR software "reads" the licence plate, signals to the parking gate, and keeps a time record of the entry or exit of the parking lot for automatic payment calculations. LPR can be used in parking management, stolen car search, traffic monitoring, etc.
